DIY Fall Mason Jars
If you’re looking for a simple way to add coziness and fall charm to your space, this DIY mason jar craft is it. In this post, you’ll learn how to make three fall mason jars that will add seasonal touches to your home.
Fall is my favorite time of the year to decorate for because it has staple colors and items that just scream ‘fall.’
But have you been in a position where you want to decorate for fall but don’t feel like spending hours (or a small fortune) on it? Well, same.
That’s why I’m obsessed with DIY fall mason jars. There are a plethora of ways to customize it so that it looks unique and feels super cozy.
Plus, they’re ridiculously easy to make, super affordable, and give off major autumn vibes.
Here, I’ve made a set of three using simple mason jars, a few fall leaves, and some candles and fairy lights.
Most of these I already had lying around. Even if you have to buy everything, it’s only a few low-cost items.
Nothing fancy, but they always come out so good. The trick is in the little combined with the fall leaves (total fall magic!).
These crafts make the cutest accent on a coffee table, dining table, kitchen counter, or even your entryway.
They’re also fun to make (I enjoyed making these), zero stress, no mess, just some chilled fall crafting.
Follow these instructions to make yours ASAP!
Jar (1)
What You’ll Need:
● 1 mason jar (any size is fine)
● Fall leaves (real or fake will do the trick)
● Glue gun
● String lights (warm or cool, whatever you have). I used cool, but usually prefer warm.
How to Make It:
1. Start by gluing fall leaves all around the outside of the mason jar. You can mix different types or colors, just don’t overcrowd it. Don’t worry about making it perfect. What you want is a nice, spaced look.
2. Roll up your string lights and place them inside the jar.
3. Turn on the light and screw on the lid.
4. Finally, flip the jar upside down and you’re done! (Pretty easy, huh?).
Now, you’ve got a cozy centerpiece to illuminate dark corners and bring fall vibes into your home.
Jar (2)
What You’ll Need:
● 1 mason jar
● Fall leaves (again, real or fake)
● Greaseproof (parchment) paper (just enough to wrap around the jar)
● Glue gun for the leaves (Optional, but I went glueless this time)
● String lights (warm lights give the coziest vibe)
● Tape or glue for the paper (I skipped this, and it moved a lot, so maybe don’t!)
How to Make It:
1. Wrap the greaseproof paper around the jar and secure it with tape or glue. It should fit snug but not too tight or loose.
2. Glue your fall leaves onto the outside or inside of the jar. I placed it inside this time (either is fine)
3. Place your string light inside the jar.
4. Switch the light on, screw the lid on, and flip the jar upside down.
5. When it lights up (especially in a dark space), it gives off this soft, frosted glow that’s so cozy and soothing.
Jar (3)
What You’ll Need:
● 1 mason jar
● Real or fake fall leaves
● Glue gun
● 1 pillar candle (shorter than the jar)
How to Make It:
1. Glue fall leaves on the outside of your jar. (I kept it simple and used just one leaf this time).
2. Let it dry out for a couple of minutes so it stays in place.
3. Place your candle inside the jar and light it up.
4. The lid should be kept off on this one (no flipping)
5. Light the candle or turn it on if it’s LED. Once you’ve done that, you can find a cool spot in your home for your DIY decor.
Aren’t these jars super easy to make? They don’t cost much and are quite fun to make.
You can choose to make one or make all three; either way, they’ll cozy up your space and add some fall vibes to it.
Also, you can tweak them up a bit to make them feel truly yours. Share yours with me in the comment section, after making them. Happy crafting!
