Trust me, this creamy Cajun shrimp and steak sauce will become your go-to for impressing family, friends, or even just yourself!

Ingredients

● 2 (6-8 oz) steak cuts of your choice (sirloin or ribeye work great)

● 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

● 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

● Salt and black pepper, to taste

● 2 tbsp olive oil or butter, divided

● 1 cup heavy cream

● 1/3 cup chicken or beef broth

● 3 cloves garlic, minced

● 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

● 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

● 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

● Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prep Your Protein

● Pat the steaks and shrimp dry with paper towels. (Dry meat sears better, trust me on this!)

● Season both generously with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning. Set aside.

2. Cook the Steak

● Heat 1 tbsp olive oil or butter in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.

● Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on how done you like them. (For medium-rare, aim for an internal temp of 135°F.)

● Remove from the pan and let them rest on a plate.

(Pro tip: Don’t skip the rest—it keeps the juices locked in!)

3. Cook the Shrimp

● In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

● Remove and set aside with the steaks.

4. Make the Sauce

● Lower the heat to medium and add another splash of oil or butter.

● Toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. (Be careful not to burn the garlic—it’ll turn bitter.)

● Stir in the remaining Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes, if using.

● Slowly pour in the chicken or beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. (This is where the magic happens—the browned bits = flavor gold!)

● Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.

● Let the sauce simmer gently for 3-4 minutes to thicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

5. Combine and Serve

● Return the shrimp to the skillet and let them warm through in the sauce for a minute.

● Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the rested steaks.

(If you’re feeling extra fancy, add a sprinkle of chopped parsley on top for a pop of color.)

Serving Suggestions

Serve this beauty alongside garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or over a bed of buttery noodles.

Feeling indulgent? Toast some French bread slices to soak up the extra sauce. You’ll thank me later.

Enjoy the oohs and ahhs from everyone at the table—they’ll think you’re a gourmet chef!
