Ingredients:

For the pasta:

● 12 oz fettuccine

● Salt (for pasta water)

For the Alfredo sauce:

● 3 tbsp unsalted butter

● 4 cloves garlic, minced

● 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

● 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

● 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

● 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

● Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the crab topping:

● 8 oz lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained) or Snow crab legs

● 2 tbsp unsalted butter

● 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or more, to taste)

● 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Fettuccine:

● Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.

● Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:

● In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

● Slowly pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.

● Add the Parmesan cheese and cream cheese, whisking continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

● Season with nutmeg (if using), salt, and black pepper to taste.

● Reduce the heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer gently while you prepare the crab.

3. Sauté the Crab:

In a separate skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.

● Add the lump crab meat and season with Old Bay seasoning.

● Sauté gently for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

4. Combine Pasta and Sauce:

● Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.

5. Assemble the Dish:

● Plate the pasta and spoon the sautéed crab meat over the top.

● Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Tips:

● For an extra burst of flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the crab before serving.

● Serve with crusty garlic bread or a crisp Caesar salad for a complete meal.

● Enjoy your elegant and indulgent Creamy Crab Fettuccine Alfredo!
