I’ve got this empty space in the living room that needs furniture, and I’ve wanted a recliner for working and just unwinding, really.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I finally got my hands on the Vanilla Cream Power Swivel Rocker Recliner with Waffle Back from FlexiSpot.

Unboxing & Setup

The delivery was quite quick, only took a few days. When the 3 big boxes showed up, I’ll admit I thought, “Oh no, this is going to be a nightmare assembly. 

You know the ones where you end up sitting on the floor surrounded by 300 screws, questioning your life choices?

Thankfully, it wasn’t! It was surprisingly a lot easier than expected and needed literally only 4 screws.

 It only came with very few parts, and the assembly instructions couldn’t be any clearer.

Although you will need two people to put it together (trust me, I tried for like five minutes and definitely needed my mom to help out). With a second pair of hands, it took us nothing more than 20 minutes.

 

Aesthetic Appeal

Now, let’s talk about what it looks like in real life because that’s what sold me in the first place.

I went with the Vanilla Cream color, which is more of a soft beige because it matches my living room perfectly.

It was really impressive by the look of it. It gives a minimalist vibe but still feels modern and chic.

The best thing about it for me was the waffle-back design. It gives it this subtle elegance without trying too hard.

I have tried it for at least 30 minutes at a time, and comfort-wise, it’s ridiculously good.

The swivel, the rocking, the reclining, it’s like three chairs in one.

Because comfort is important to me, I’ve tested it in my living room for TV marathons and breastfeeding my baby.

My mom and husband have also spent some time on it, reading and watching TV, and it felt comfortable to them, too. 

The recliner button is within reach (by the side of the chair), making it easy to reposition. Honestly, this chair just elevates whatever space you put it in. Plus, the fabric is super soft. 

Whether in the living room, home office, nursery, or even in a random corner of the house that felt a bit “blah” before, it will surely improve it.

And what’s the recline like? It is smooth. Not jerky or awkward at all, so no worries about getting stuck halfway.

 

Stain Test: Toddler Edition

Let’s be real, if you’ve got little kiddos running around, you know new furniture doesn’t stay “new” for long. 

I wasn’t sure if getting the vanilla cream was best, as my one old year likes to find new things to climb and stain.

As expected, within one day of setting this beauty up, she managed to smear it with sticky little fingerprints.

I wiped it right off with a fibre cloth and a little dish soap and water, and it came out so easily.

Didn’t even need a special cleaner, so I am not as paranoid about stains as I was before.

So, this recliner is a huge plus if you have tiny humans living in your home rent-free.

 

Little Extras That Make a Big Difference

One of the super cool features I really like is the built-in charging ports. Absolute game changer if you’re always on the phone or laptop like me. It has both a USB and a Type-C slot.

With a recliner like this, you won’t have to worry about dragging cords across the room. 

I honestly didn’t think I’d care about this feature (my mom did for sure), but now I catch myself charging my phone every time I sit down, because why not? 

 

Final Thoughts

So, do I recommend this product? Absolutely! I’m a few days in and I’m already kind of obsessed.

It looks good (that waffle back is just the cutest), it feels amazing, and it’s practical for real life (toddlers, snacks, movie marathons, reading, and lazy afternoons).

One thing to keep in mind is that it needs sufficient space and not a tight corner if you want to really enjoy the recline feature. 

It’s one of those pieces of furniture that just makes your home feel a little more put-together and more cozy. You know what I mean?
