This Jacobean Manor House is a Fusion of Eclectic and Elegant
London-based interior designer, Nicola Harding and her team completely reinvented this 17th Century Jacobean manor house and the finished look will take you on a tour back in time.
Design experts would all agree that the color scheme of interior spaces is a fundamental aspect of the design.
The well-formulated color scheme that differs across each room is what sets this country house makeover apart from the others.
The design is nothing short of cozy, and sophisticated. Plus, the refined palette gives the space an organic and lived-in feel.
The house was in sound condition but had lost its soul after being inexpertly renovated decades prior.
British designer, ‘Nicole Harding‘ and her design team added a country chic appeal and infused a rich atmosphere that brought it back to life.
The timeless design incorporation in this Jacobean manor house also evokes charm and character.
Let’s explore the makeover!

Enriched with antiques, the epic center of the home conjures up feelings of being back in time. The incorporation of rich colors, textures, and patterns helps to create an effortless flow.
The color scheme consists of light purple, dark green, and dark blue, which blends beautifully to add a refined sense of style to the space.
The atmosphere is moody and cozy, which is perfect for relaxation. The library is situated where the old kitchen used to be.
Adorned in rich tones of aubergine and bruised mulberry, this floor-to-ceiling bookshelf is what a true bookworm’s dreams are made of.
The house owner, an avid reader with a specialty in military history, finds the room to be an inviting space now.

The drawing room features historical artwork with a gold frame that lends elegance to the room.
We love how the powder blue marries up brilliantly with the rust-orange accents.
The brass wall scones above the fireplace also make a real style statement.

The new kitchen and dining room has a more modern twist to it. It is bright, airy, and on the minimalistic side of design.
The kitchen is mostly crisp white with a hint of green and a power blue kitchen island.
The breakfast nook is well thought-out and beautifully executed. It features earthly neutrals and a pop of yellow pendant light.

The canopy bed, lamp, rug, and bedding blends a variety of texture into this bedroom.
Another fabulous feature in this bedroom is the pink wall which lends delicacy and an eye-catchy appeal to the space.

The bedrooms in this Jacobean manor house each have their unique personality charm.
Each room in the house has been designed reflects the home’s original character.
The two color combination commands attention and lends a retro vibe to the room.
To restore this house’s feeling of a place and fill it with personality, the design team reunited it with its history and charm.
According to Harding “A rich, dynamic collection of new and old pieces speaks to the passions of the couple, reflects the story of the house, and feels as if it has evolved organically over generations“.
